It's no wonder why Dan Maples is the favorite son of Myrtle Beach golf course design. At The Wizard, he's created one of the most unique courses in the area. From your first glimpse of the stone castle clubhouse to your last putt on eighteen, you're in for one heck of a fun day. The Man O' War Golf Club ~ 10.53 miles

Rated 3 1/2 stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play," Dan Maples created Man O' War from the depths of a 100-acre lake. Back-to-back island greens, fairways that seem to float on water, and strategically placed trees all combine for a memorable round. Keeping the ball in play is only part of the game plan here as most approach shots are to large bent-grass greens. Your short game will also need to be at its best! The club is found off Route 501, just west of the Intracoastal Waterway....

The Witch Golf Club ~ 15.68 miles

You must play The Witch, which was rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play." Course designer Dan Maples built 4,000 feet of bridges just to connect all the holes. The front side plays through the majority of these natural hazards while the back moves over more rolling, wooded terrain. The entire setting is removed from the distractions of homes and hotels. As Golf Magazine says, "There is probably not another course like this Dan Maples jewel any place in the world." Make sure The Witch is on your roster of "must-play" courses....
