The longest of the three courses at Ford's Colony, Blue Heron is typical Dan Maples -- gorgeous to look at, fun to play, yet difficult to score on. The par-five fourth hole is considered the toughest on the course with a meddlesome water hazard lurking behind a fairway bunker off the tee to the right. This hazard will also force many golfers to play it safe on their second shot which creates a tough approach to a small, well-protected green.... more info.

Named as "one of the top 10 places to play in Virginia" and rated 3.5 stars by Golf Digest, Williamsburg National is a course that will fit into everyone's schedule. Located just minutes from most area hotels, the course was carved out of stately maples, cedars and oaks, capturing the flavor of the Virginia landscape. The front nine is relatively flat for the area, with the back nine, though shorter, made up of much more rolling terrain.
