| 11/05/2007 - We have played twice on the south course and it is always cart path only. this course is an extremely hard course to walk and my group are always tired at the end of the round. the staff at lake jovita has a snoobish atitiude and seemed not very accomadating when we had problems with our reservation. Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, surrounded by rolling hills, is one of Florida's "must-play" venues. Located 30 minutes north of Tampa and only 70 miles from Orlando attractions, the original South course was rated by Golf Digest as one of the "Top 10 New Upscale Courses" in the United States.
The club features two outstanding courses spread out over some of Florida's most unusual terrain. In fact, the 559-yard, par-five 11th hole on the South Course features a 94-foot elevation drop from tee to green -- the largest natural elevation change on any course in the state.
Lake Jovita offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as daily tee times to the public. Visitors can stay at privately owned three-bedroom, two-bath club villas overlooking the 18th green.
