| 05/18/2008 - This course was the favourite of least one of our party of eight. Although played through a residential area houses were way back from the playing line. Compared to the excellent staff at the other courses played staff were a little unenthusiastic but we all had great day. Great value lunch. Course in good shape all round and pace of play excellent. | 04/22/2008 - Got my first hole in one here LOL awesome. Posted by Steve (Tewksbury, MA) |
04/21/2008 - This year was the first time we ventured north of Orlando and this course was a pleasant surprise, although with all of the great courses closer to the Kissimmee area I'm not sure if it is good enough to draw me back or not... Posted by Doug (Champaign, IL)
03/19/2008 - Changed. No pot bunkers. But still great. Posted by Aaron (Saginaw, MI)
03/09/2008 - We make an annual trek to this course and it never dissapoints. If the wind is up, which is most of the time, it's as tough as nails. Great layout. Just igonre the 8's and 9's you take on #2, The Burial Ground. Posted by John (Holtsville, NY)
03/05/2008 - Timacuan is worth the drive. Challenging holes with plenty of length. Some require a shorter drive to avoid going through fairway...into water. Approach shots held greens well. Overall course condition was good. Some fairways were not well defined and edges would turn into grass/sand patches. Staff was friendly and efficient. Posted by Paul (Pleasanton, CA)
03/03/2008 - Advice was that this is a "must play". And it is. Our visit was marred by heavy rain and we'd love to see the course with some sunshine on it. Posted by Phil (Cheshire, )
02/11/2008 - very hard course Posted by Fred (Roanoke, VA)
02/03/2008 - Good staff who helped us pass slow players in front of us Posted by Torben (Nivaa, )
11/09/2007 - An excellent course for the money, and well worth the drive. We hadn't played this course in about 7 years, and were glad we came back. It has its share of trouble, but is scoreable. Will play again. Posted by Don (Clifton Park, NY)

A must-play while in Central Florida, Timacuan is a stunning 6,900-yard championship course located in Lake Mary, 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Designed originally by Ron Garl in 1987 and totally renovated with a new look and feel by Bobby Weed in 1996, the course features two very distinct nines. The front nine resembles a Scottish links layout with rolling fairways (some dramatic) bordered by sandy waste areas and deep pot bunkers; water on just 3 holes. The back has the feel of the finest Carolina pineland courses with abundant wildlife and water almost everywhere in sight. Add outstanding club facilities, a first-class staff and attention to customer service, and you quickly understand why Timacuan is so great and so highly recommended.
